Terms of Use
Last updated 3 November 2026
This is a draft while ReciPie prepares for launch. It may still change before the app is released.
The agreement
These terms are between you and Ilja Jarmoss, who runs ReciPie, based in Norway. By using the app you agree to them. Questions go to contact.recipie.app@gmail.com.
Because you got ReciPie from the App Store, Apple’s standard licence agreement also applies to your use of the app. Apple isn’t responsible for the app or its support, but Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce these terms.
ReciPie Pro
Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, billed yearly or monthly at the price shown in the app. Payment is taken by your Apple account when you confirm, or when a free trial ends.
The Family plan can be shared with up to 5 other people in your Apple Family Sharing group. You turn sharing on in your Apple settings, and it can take up to an hour to reach them. Each person needs their own ReciPie account, and limits apply to each person separately. Someone in a shared folder doesn’t get Pro unless they’re also in your Apple Family Sharing group.
It renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your account is charged for the renewal within those 24 hours. Manage or cancel it in your Apple account settings. Deleting the app or your account doesn’t cancel it.
If a free trial is offered, any unused part of it ends when you buy a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple, under its rules.
AI features have fair use limits, such as a daily number of requests, to keep them available for everyone.
The free month streak reward
Logging a meal every day for a full year earns a free month of Pro. It’s for real, personal use. Streaks that look automated or rigged can have their reward held, reviewed or refused. If you think we got it wrong, email us and we’ll take a look. We may change or end this reward in future, but won’t take away a month you’ve already earned without good reason.
Your content
Recipes, photos and notes you add stay yours. You let us store, process and show them as needed to run the app, including to the people in your shared folders. Only add what you have the right to use. Recipes saved from websites and social media belong to their creators, and your copy is for your personal use.
If you think something in ReciPie infringes your copyright, email contact.recipie.app@gmail.com with the content, your work, and your contact details. We’ll review it and remove it where appropriate, and may close the accounts of repeat infringers.
ReciPie isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by the recipe sites it links to, Instagram, TikTok or OpenAI. Their names belong to their owners and are used only to describe what the app works with.
Who can use ReciPie
You must be at least 13, or the age of digital consent where you live if that’s higher, and old enough to agree to these terms or have a parent or guardian’s permission.
Behaving well
We don’t tolerate objectionable content or abusive behaviour. In shared folders, don’t post anything illegal, hateful, threatening, sexual or harassing, and don’t spam. You can report a post or block someone from the post’s menu. We review reports within 24 hours, and may remove content and suspend or remove anyone who breaks these rules.
Don’t try to break, overload or get around the app’s limits, or use bots or scripts with it.
Food, calories and health
Calorie and nutrition figures, including AI estimates, are approximate. ReciPie isn’t medical or dietary advice. AI can make mistakes when reading recipes or spotting ingredients, so always check ingredients and allergens yourself, and cook food safely. If you have a health condition, an eating disorder or special dietary needs, talk to a qualified professional before relying on any goal or figure here.
Our responsibility
We provide the app as it is, and we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect losses. Nothing here limits rights you have under the consumer law where you live.
You can stop using ReciPie and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. If we change these terms significantly, we’ll tell you in the app.
These terms are governed by the laws of Norway, without taking away protections from the law where you live.
